McGill X-1 Accelerator Call for Applications!

The McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship is proud to reintroduce the McGill X-1 Accelerator program for its second year with applications now being accepted until Sunday, April 10th, 2016.

The McGill X-1 Accelerator is a 10-week intensive program that runs throughout the summer for McGill startups who are looking to accelerate their business and gain further traction as they seek investment and prepare for launch. The McGill X-1 is aimed for actively growing startups that have an early prototype or product already built and can demonstrate early traction and/or revenue.

Startup teams will once again be invited to the McGill X-1’s startup space to hone their skills in core areas such as product development, customer acquisition, and business model creation. Through 10 weeks of themed weekly sessions, McGill X-1 teams will have the opportunity to become increasingly embedded within the Montreal startup community, while also pursuing all of the steps necessary to bring their startups towards investment readiness and launch in the Fall.

With mentorship from world-class entrepreneurs, industry experts, and thought leaders, startup teams will have access to a great depth and breadth of insight to guide their growing businesses. Furthermore, teams will be offered $2K per participating founder and up to $10K per team, with no equity attached. Beyond the funding however, the exposure that startup teams will have to the entrepreneurial community around them is a truly invaluable experience.

To conclude the program, in early September as teams graduate from the McGill X-1 Accelerator, these startups will have the exhilarating opportunity to pitch to investors during Demo Days in both Montreal and San Francisco. With over 300 attendees at last year’s demo day in Montreal, 2016’s demo days are expected to be bigger, better, and more extravagant than ever.

For now, the doors are wide open and applications are being accepted into the McGill X-1 Accelerator program.

If you’re a startup that can build your business upon a technology, science, or idea that gives you a significant or radically disruptive advantage over the competition with potential for exponential growth, then apply to the McGill X-1 today!
